So this means that right side is the main side for adjusting air spring pressure. The product description for the 2004 EXR Comp says that it has an air spring on the side with the damper and a coil spring on the other side. I may need a couple O-rings once I get it apart.

What does this mean? It means that even coil spring forks will have air valves at the so you can use air pressure to stiffen up the overall spring rate. Table 7 in the manual tells you the EXR Comp has a non-adjustable SSV pumping rod in the right leg. The manual I found (like all of them it seems) is pretty vauge about this.
